The Cleveland Botanical Garden is hosting its 17th annual flower show, Orchids Forever, from January 28th to March 12th. This year’s show will showcase over 100 different types of orchids, with over 3,000 flowers on display from all over the world. Orchids come in a range of vibrant colors and are known for their unique patterns and forms.
The show will feature several areas where guests can view the orchids, including:
- The Ellipse (Main Lobby), which will have four neon-lit displays of orchids in shades of yellow, pink, salmon, and purple, surrounded by a bed of orchids of varying elevations.
- The Glasshouse, which will feature orchids from every angle in stunning horticultural vignettes.
- The Eppig Gallery, which will show off the details of rare orchids and their variety of colors through large-scale photo scans and vignettes.
In addition to viewing the orchids, guests can also attend classes to learn more about these incredible flowers. The Cleveland Botanical Garden is offering virtual Ask the Orchid Doctor sessions on February 11th and February 25th, a Behind the Scenes Orchid Photography workshop on February 5th, and an Orchid Repotting for Beginners class on February 6th.
Orchids are known for their ability to grow in a variety of environments, except for dry deserts and Antarctica. They are the largest and most diverse of the flowering plant family, and their beauty and unique characteristics make them a popular choice among flower lovers. This year’s Orchids Forever show is a great opportunity to learn more about these amazing plants and appreciate their beauty up close.
